Major concerns of geoecology include agriculture and forestry, environmental analytics, waste disposal, and the reclamation of contaminated sites.

The Subject Area
Geoecology examines the connections between all parts of the physical environment making up our landscapes; soils, rivers, topography, climate, and plant and animal communities. Geoecology focuses on the study of soil, landforms and erosion, both process and management, and their relationships with the biosphere and climate. The emphasis is on understanding natural processes occurring in the environment which affect many resource uses and human activities. Examples are natural hazards, soil formation and erosion, river processes and management.

Dr. N.
